VoSound Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how VoSound, including its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, and assigns (collectively, "VoSound," "we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information obtained from users ("User," "you," "your") of the VoSound platform located at VoSound.com, including all associated tools, features, services, applications, and functionality (collectively, the "Platform").
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO THE COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY, DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM.
This Policy should be read in conjunction with the VoSound Terms and Conditions (available at VoSound.com/terms) and the VoSound Biometric & Voice Data Notice (available at VoSound.com/biometric).
1. Information We Collect
VoSound collects information from you in several ways when you access or use the Platform. The types of information we collect include:
1.1 Account and Registration Information
When you create an account on the Platform, we collect:
- your display name or username;
- your email address;
- your password (stored in hashed and salted form using industry-standard encryption; VoSound does not store plaintext passwords);
- any additional profile information you voluntarily provide, such as a profile description, genre preferences, or artist name.
1.2 User Content and Audio Data
When you upload content to the Platform, we collect and store:
- audio files (including WAV, MP3, FLAC, and other supported audio formats);
- metadata associated with your audio files, including but not limited to: file name, file size, file format, sample rate, bit depth, duration, and channel configuration;
- user-provided metadata, including: song title, artist name, album name, release title, genre, BPM, key, year, and descriptive tags;
- ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) and UPC (Universal Product Code) identifiers, whether auto-generated by the Platform or provided by the user;
- songwriter information, publisher information, composition credits, and administrative metadata entered by the user;
- processing profile selections, macro settings, SoundPack configurations, and DSP chain parameters applied to uploaded audio;
- proof-of-processing records, DSP signatures, and processing audit logs generated by the Platform.
1.3 Payment and Transaction Information
When you subscribe to a plan or make a purchase through the Platform, we collect:
- transaction records, including subscription tier, amount paid, billing cycle, and transaction date;
- payment method type (e.g., credit card brand, last four digits of card number) as provided by our third-party payment processor;
- subscription status and history.
VoSound does NOT directly collect, store, or process your full credit card number, full bank account number, CVV/CVC code, or other sensitive financial payment credentials. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"), and your payment data is subject to Stripe's privacy policy and data security practices.
1.4 Usage and Analytics Data
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:
- pages visited, features used, buttons clicked, and interactions with the Platform interface;
- processing job history, including job status, timestamps, processing parameters, and output metadata;
- Explore feed interactions, including tracks listened to, listen duration, listen milestones, and engagement actions;
- search queries and filter selections;
- token transactions, including token usage, token balance changes, and unlock history;
- timestamps of account activity, logins, and session events.
1.5 Device and Technical Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you access the Platform, including:
- IP address;
- browser type and version;
- operating system;
- device type and screen resolution;
- referring URL and exit pages;
- session identifiers and authentication tokens;
- general geographic location derived from IP address (city or region level; not precise GPS coordinates).
1.6 Lead Magnet and Resource Download Information
When you download resources, guides, cheat sheets, templates, or other lead magnets from the Platform, or when you submit information through email capture forms, newsletter subscription forms, or contact forms, we collect:
- your name (if provided);
- your email address;
- the specific resource or lead magnet you accessed;
- the date and time of your submission;
- any additional information you voluntarily provide in the form.
1.7 Communications Data
When you contact VoSound for support or other purposes, we collect:
- the content of your communications, including emails and support requests;
- your contact information as provided in the communication;
- metadata associated with the communication, including date, time, and subject.
1.8 Cloudflare Turnstile Data
The Platform uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. When you interact with Turnstile-protected features, Cloudflare may collect and process certain data in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy policy, including browser signals and interaction data used to distinguish human users from automated bots.
2. How We Use Your Information
VoSound uses the information we collect for the following purposes:
2.1 Platform Operations
- to create, maintain, and secure your account;
- to provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and its features;
- to process and fulfill your audio processing requests;
- to manage your subscription, token balance, and transaction history;
- to display your content in the Explore feed, Library, and artist profile pages;
- to generate waveform visualizations, streaming analytics, and usage metrics;
- to provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
2.2 Platform Improvement
- to analyze usage patterns and trends to improve the Platform's features, functionality, and user experience;
- to monitor Platform performance, uptime, and reliability;
- to identify and fix technical issues, bugs, and errors;
- to develop new features and services.
2.3 Security and Fraud Prevention
- to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
- to monitor for fraudulent streaming activity, bot traffic, and artificial engagement manipulation;
- to enforce our Terms and Conditions and other policies;
- to protect the rights, property, and safety of VoSound, its users, and the public.
2.4 Communications
- to send you transactional emails related to your account, subscriptions, and processing jobs;
- to send you onboarding sequences, nurture emails, and educational content related to the Platform;
- to send you marketing communications, newsletters, and promotional materials (subject to your opt-out rights as described in Section 5);
- to notify you of changes to these policies, our Terms and Conditions, or other important Platform updates.
2.5 Legal Compliance
- to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests;
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- to maintain records as required by law for audit, tax, or regulatory purposes.
3. Lead Data Collection and Third-Party Sharing
3.1 Lead Data Definition
"Lead Data" means the contact information and associated data collected from users and visitors through Platform registration, lead magnet downloads, email capture forms, newsletter subscriptions, resource hub access, event registrations, and any other interaction that involves the submission of personal contact information. Lead Data typically includes: name, email address, and general geographic location (where available).
3.2 Lead Data Sharing Disclosure
IMPORTANT: BY PROVIDING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION TO VOSOUND THROUGH ANY MEANS DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT THAT YOUR LEAD DATA MAY BE SOLD, LICENSED, RENTED, SHARED, OR OTHERWISE TRANSFERRED TO THIRD-PARTY COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS.
VoSound may share, license, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your Lead Data to third-party companies and organizations for their own marketing, business development, and commercial purposes. VoSound may receive compensation for such sharing.
3.3 Categories of Third-Party Lead Data Recipients
Third-party recipients of Lead Data may include, but are not limited to, companies and organizations in the following industries and sectors:
- Music Industry: Record labels, music publishers, music distributors, artist management companies, booking agencies, and music promotion companies.
- Entertainment Industry: Entertainment companies, talent agencies, event promoters, live event companies, and media companies.
- Music Technology: Audio software companies, music production tool companies, digital audio workstation developers, plugin developers, and music hardware companies.
- Music Services: Music education companies, music licensing services, royalty administration services, and music business consultancies.
- Digital Streaming: Streaming platforms, content distribution networks, digital aggregators, and playlist curators.
- Adjacent Sectors: Advertising and marketing companies focused on the music and entertainment industries, professional audio services companies, instrument and equipment manufacturers, and other companies operating in related fields.
3.4 Limitations on Shared Data
VoSound will NOT share the following information with third-party Lead Data recipients:
- your password or account security credentials;
- your full financial payment data, credit card numbers, or banking information;
- your uploaded audio files, musical compositions, or sound recordings;
- your detailed processing job history or technical platform usage data;
- your private Library contents or unpublished content.
3.5 Third-Party Data Practices
Once your Lead Data has been shared with a third party, that third party's use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy and data practices. VoSound does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party Lead Data recipients. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party that contacts you.
3.6 Opting Out and Lead Data Removal
You may request removal from VoSound's Lead Data sharing lists by contacting [email protected]. Upon receipt and verification of your request, VoSound will make commercially reasonable efforts to cease further sharing of your Lead Data with new third-party recipients. However, please note that:
- Lead Data that has already been shared with third parties prior to your opt-out request is no longer under VoSound's control, and you must contact those third parties directly to request removal from their systems;
- opting out of Lead Data sharing does not affect VoSound's right to retain your account information for Platform operations, legal compliance, and other purposes described in this Policy;
- opting out of Lead Data sharing is separate from opting out of marketing communications (see Section 5).
4. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Analytics
4.1 Essential Cookies
VoSound uses essential cookies that are necessary for the Platform to function properly. These cookies are used for:
- authentication and session management;
- security and fraud prevention;
- user preference storage;
- maintaining your login state across pages.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled without impairing the functionality of the Platform.
4.2 Analytics
VoSound uses lightweight, privacy-focused analytics to understand how users interact with the Platform and to improve the user experience. Our analytics focus on aggregate usage patterns rather than individual user tracking. VoSound does not use invasive advertising tracking technologies, cross-site tracking pixels, or behavioral retargeting cookies.
4.3 Cloudflare Turnstile
The Platform uses Cloudflare Turnstile as a bot protection and security measure. Cloudflare may use cookies and browser signals to verify that interactions with the Platform are initiated by human users. Cloudflare's data practices are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy, available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. VoSound does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, VoSound's analytics practices are designed to be privacy-conscious and do not involve invasive advertising tracking regardless of DNT settings.
5. Marketing Communications and Opt-Out
5.1 Marketing Emails
VoSound may send you marketing communications, including newsletters, product announcements, promotional offers, educational content, onboarding sequences, and nurture email sequences. These communications may be sent via email using third-party email delivery services.
5.2 Opting Out
You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from VoSound at any time by:
- clicking the "unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of each marketing email;
- contacting [email protected] with the subject line "Unsubscribe."
5.3 Transactional Communications
Even if you opt out of marketing communications, VoSound may continue to send you transactional and service-related communications, including:
- account verification and security alerts;
- subscription confirmation and billing notifications;
- processing job status updates;
- Terms and Conditions updates requiring re-acceptance;
- other communications reasonably necessary to provide the Platform and its services.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 Payment Processing
VoSound uses Stripe, Inc. to process payments. When you make a payment through the Platform, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's privacy policy (available at stripe.com/privacy). VoSound does not directly access or store your full payment credentials.
6.2 Cloud Storage and Content Delivery
VoSound uses Cloudflare, Inc. services, including Cloudflare R2 (object storage) and Cloudflare CDN (content delivery network), to store and deliver media assets, audio files, and other content. Your uploaded content is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure and is subject to Cloudflare's privacy and data handling practices.
6.3 Email Delivery
VoSound uses Twilio SendGrid ("SendGrid") to deliver transactional and marketing emails. When VoSound sends you an email, your email address and message content are processed by SendGrid in accordance with Twilio's privacy policy.
6.4 Bot Protection
VoSound uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection and security verification, as described in Section 4.3.
6.5 Lead Data Recipients
As described in Section 3, VoSound may share Lead Data with third-party companies and organizations. These third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices and data handling.
7. Data Security
7.1 Security Measures
VoSound implements industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
- encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL;
- hashing and salting of passwords using bcrypt;
- secure session management and authentication tokens;
- access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel;
- regular monitoring for security vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
7.2 No Absolute Guarantee
While VoSound takes reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. VoSound cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You use the Platform and transmit information at your own risk.
7.3 Security Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, VoSound will notify affected users as required by applicable law and will take appropriate steps to mitigate the impact of the breach.
8. Data Retention
8.1 Account Data
We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Platform's services. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a commercially reasonable timeframe, subject to our legal retention obligations.
8.2 User Content
Uploaded audio files, processed outputs, and associated metadata are retained for as long as your account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to facilitate account reactivation or as required for backup, archival, audit, or legal purposes.
8.3 Lead Data
Lead Data is retained for as long as it is commercially useful for the purposes described in this Policy, which may extend beyond the duration of your account. Lead Data that has been shared with third parties is subject to those third parties' retention practices.
8.4 Usage and Analytics Data
Usage data, analytics data, and technical logs are retained for as long as they are useful for Platform improvement, security monitoring, and fraud prevention purposes, and may be aggregated and anonymized for long-term analytical use.
8.5 Legal Retention
Notwithstanding the foregoing, VoSound may retain any information for as long as necessary to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate business purposes including audit and legal compliance.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 General Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access: Request information about the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: Request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your personal data.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw your consent at any time.
9.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:
- the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold;
- the right to delete personal information held by VoSound;
- the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights;
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
As described in Section 3, VoSound may sell or share Lead Data with third parties. California residents may exercise their right to opt out of the sale of personal information by contacting [email protected] with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out."
Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared: Identifiers (name, email address), general geolocation data, and commercial information (nature of interaction with VoSound).

9.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation, including the rights described in Section 9.1 above.

- Contract: Processing necessary to perform our contract with you (e.g., providing the Platform, processing your audio, managing your subscription).
- Legitimate Interest: Processing necessary for our legitimate business interests (e.g., fraud prevention, Platform improvement, analytics), balanced against your rights and interests.
- Consent: Processing based on your consent (e.g., marketing communications, Lead Data sharing), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Legal Obligation: Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws.

We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. If we deny your request, we will explain the reason and inform you of any applicable appeal process.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18). VoSound does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably practicable. 11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries. VoSound will take appropriate measures to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
12.1 Right to Modify
VoSound reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Privacy Policy at any time. The most current version of the Policy will be posted on the Platform with the updated "Effective Date" and version number.
12.2 Notification of Material Changes
For material changes to this Privacy Policy, VoSound will provide notice through the Platform interface, via email, or through the clickwrap re-acceptance system, as appropriate. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
